Online Black Friday

Do you guys like to shop during Black Friday online? Or do you rather prefer just going to the shops and getting run over by the millions of people charging in through the perpetually stuck revolving doors? For me, online shopping is definitely better. When I do BFriday shopping online, I save money, but at the same time don't have to worry about getting hurt in the rush, or wasting gas to get to the shop in the first place. How about you?

I prefer online shopping in general, so I love it especially more when it's Black Friday and there are lots of deals about. I agree that it's probably the best way to go about getting discounts on this day, since you get to more sales while still keeping safe and comfortable, which is why I wonder why anyone else would "fight it out" at the actual stores, but to each his/her own I guess.

I don't usually pay much attention to Black Friday/ Cyber Monday online. I try to do as much of my shopping as possible before Thanksgiving. Since those things come after Thanksgiving, there's not a lot of shopping I still have to do by that point.

I haven't really taken the time to look closely at the bargains that are available, but from what I *have* noticed, the prices weren't much greater than I find during sales the rest of the year.

Black Friday is a huge tradition in my family. We get together, eat the turkey and drink wine on Thanksgiving, get all tired out and then everyone falls asleep at my grandma's house. We set the alarms and awake at 4 a.m., making a quick stop for coffee, before we hit the road. However, last year some stores started to open at midnight on Thanksgiving and so my husband and I stayed up and waited outside in the freezing cold for over an hour to get the TV that is currently in our living room. I'll never forget how we ran into the store with the whole crowd and actually got separated amongst the crazies. I found the TV section and they had a pallet of all the good sale ones for people to grab and go. I saw the one we wanted and tried to pull it off the pallet when another couple began to point and look at the one I had my hand on. My husband was no where in sight so I actually laid my body over the big box to "claim" it so nobody would take it! I still laugh thinking about how goofy I must have looked! My husband found me a few minuets later and we grabbed the TV and got on our way to the next shops that opened at night. We went back to my grandmas and slept for a few hours before getting up again with the whole family to hit up the morning stops.

Our traditions of Black Friday shopping date back to as far as I can remember. Yes, we go for the sales, but we also go for the time together as a family and the memories. Once I got rear ended by an eager lady's cart in Target who wanted me to "move"! However, I was trapped between people and had nowhere to go. Yes, she slammed her cart into my bum. Rude.

My aunt whom was very big into this moved many states away this year, so I don't think she will be joining us this year which makes me very sad. However, my husband and I will still be out and about wherever the shops are opening to get our "deals".
