Cost effective entertainment
Completely forgoing entertainment is an option to save money, but honestly it’s a very depressing one. People need to keep their mood up as part of being healthy and productive, which is particularly important for saving money if you have a job.
That said, what entertainment do you spend money on? Is it cost effective?
I mostly buy games in sales. Perhaps I spend $5-$10 on a game and it might last me 20 hours. I once bought a game for about $5 and it kept me occupied for about 60 hours. That’s very good in entertainment time/cost.
I occasionally go to the cinema too. I feel like this is more of the more wasteful things I do. It costs about $12 and only keeps me entertained for 2 hours. It’s not too bad, but it’s not cost effective.
