How to find the biggest discounts on Amazon

Amazon’s pricing is based on supply and demand, which means computer algorithms are constantly updating the pricing, which can change on an hourly basis.

Every day, a variety of items on Amazon go on discount, sometimes up to 99%. They vary greatly, but discounts of up to 50% on current model digital cameras are not unknown.

Amazon obviously doesn’t provide a way to see what items are on heavy discount, but you can find them yourself by modifying the URL:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/?node=DEPARTMENT&pct-off=90-99

The section that says ‘DEPARTMENT’ you need to replace with the right code. The second section is ‘percent off’- currently displaying 90-99% off.

To get the department code, you can search amazon and you’ll see it written in the URL. Here’s some common ones:
