What’s the best way to clean rust off of vinyl siding?

Help! We are trying to sell our home and have some rust on our vinyl siding from HVAC drip pan (I think that’s what this is called) in our attic. A hose was clogged and while we didn’t have any leaks inside the house, the drip pan rusted and as it slowly drained it stained the side of our house. Our agent says we have to clean it or replace the siding and we really can’t afford anymore out of pocket. Is there anything we can do?
