Planned Obsolescence… Fair or Unethical?
Do you think that planned obsolescence is fair, or unethical? If you’re not familiar with the term, it’s when manufacturers design products to purposely become obsolete (in style, etc.) or not workable in a certain amount of time. I think it was much better when consumers could buy something and be surprised at how long it would last.
My parents had both a dryer and an air conditioner that lasted around 30 years. I can’t really see that happening with today’s products, unfortunately.
