Why do You Save

Why do you save? What started your attempts to save money? Was it some dire financial crisis, some unforeseen injury, or was it just simply your instincts, or a desire for a comfortable life in retirement? I simply want more money. It is also my nature to be just a touch miserly. I want to live out my days after retirement in leisure. Also, since the Bible says it is a sin to be extravagant, I try to save as much as possible. Share your experiences.
